A national system for collection of infectious medical waste and biological waste from medical centers and labs
Tabib provides a comprehensive and professional solution for recycling and destroying infectious medical and biological waste. Infectious medical waste, which includes sharp or soft infectious waste, is treated in accordance with the directives of the Public Health Protection law (handling waste from institutions 1997) and is transferred to a treatment center, which operates in accordance with the Business Licensing law and in accordance with the directives of the Ministry of Environmental Protection.
In addition, medical waste is considered hazardous waste and its removal is carried out in accordance with the Hazardous Substances law (1993). The company operates a national system for collecting infectious medical waste including soft or sharp (needles, syringe, etc.) medical waste, cultures (microbial), blood and urine samples, pads and other items per the client’s request. Moreover, the company has the largest purifying and sterilizing facility in Israel, located in Ma’ale Efraim, for handling medical and biological waste in which the infectious waste is sterilized per law.
The company provides standard collection and packaging containers of various types for the infectious waste, bio-hazardous bags, collection containers for sharp waste in various sizes and large collection containers (240 liter/770 liter, etc. containers).
The collection of the infectious/biological waste is carried out regularly in designated vehicles all over Israel.
The company removes and destroys medical and chemical waste such as: expired, invalid, etc. It also removes and destroys all types and all quantities of lab waste including sorting, packaging and destroying.
